Impact Student Ministry Team Description

Our student ministry, aging from 12-17, empowers middle school and high school students through relevant and practical teachings of God’s Word. Utilizing innovative and interactive ministry presentations, our goal is to disciple students who will in turn disciple their peers and employ a Christ-driven impact in the world.
 
Impact Team Lead – The Impact Team Lead oversees the team volunteers assuring that they are teaching and connecting with our middle school and high school students in a way that disciples them to make a Christ-driven impact in the world. 
 
Impact Team Lead Responsibilities  
 
●     Develops Sunday morning curriculum and programming for middle school and high school aged students to learn about the Bible (12-17).
 
●     Develops weekly activities to engage students online for spiritual growth and peer to peer discipleship.
 
●     Enlists, trains, resources and encourages team members to teach curriculum and lead weekly Impact ministry activities and services.
 
●     Plans outings and trips for fun, fellowship and engagement amongst the students. 
 
●     Builds relationships with parents of ANWA-VA keeping them connected with things happening in Impact Student ministry.
 
●     Help parents be involved in the spiritual formation of their child’s life.
 
●     Make decisions on the most effective programs and curriculums to impact our students.
 
●     Annually develops and oversees the student ministry budget so it effectively and wisely utilizes church resources and maximizes ministry opportunity.
 
●     Schedules team members to serve for weekly Impact services and activities.
 
●     Schedules team outings once per quarter to build relationships and a sense of community amongst the team.
 
●     Identifies potential leaders amongst the team who would benefit from going through ANWA-VA Leadership Training.
 
●     Checks in monthly with the Impact Student Ministry team volunteers to be aware of their spiritual, mental, emotional and physical state in an effort to maintain a holistically healthy team. 
 
●     Completes the monthly & quarterly ANWA-VA Ministry Team Evaluation Forms.
 
Impact Team Responsibilities
 
●     Works with the Team Lead to create and implement programs for the spiritual development of the middle school and high school students of our church, ages 12-17.

●     Builds relationships with parents of ANWA-VA keeping them connected with things happening in Impact Student Ministry.
 
●     Helps parents be involved in the spiritual formation of their child’s life.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Impact Team Lead Requirements
 
●     Must be a follower of Jesus Christ, having made a public confession of faith.
 
●     Must be a partner of All Nations Worship Assembly-VA having completed Discovery and Foundations Class.
 
●     Must have served as a volunteer on a ministry team of ANWA-VA for at least a year.
 
●     Must go through ANWA-VA Leadership Development Training.
 
●     Must have the ability to listen to and communicate with people of all ages; the ability to work with other ministry leaders; the ability to model and teach a variety of ways to implement effective student ministry; the ability to organize teams, delegate responsibility, and follow up to complete tasks.
 
●     Must be willing to continue to grow spiritually and professionally through reading, listening to training resources, taking classes and attending conferences and seminars to help you better lead your team.
 
●     Must attend weekly worship services and support other ministry events.
 
●     Must attend monthly team lead meetings and host monthly meetings for the team in which you lead. 
 
●     Must be on time for all worship services, team meetings and ministry events.
 
●     Must enjoy working with elementary aged children.
 
●     Must complete a background check.
 
●     Must be a tither and cheerful giver.
 
●     Must be a team player.
 
 
 
Impact Team Volunteer Requirements
