Intercessory Prayer Team Description

Our Intercessory Prayer Team intercedes in prayer for the vision and mission of our church, our leaders and the partners of ANWA-VA, our community, our region and the heart of God for the world. They petition, proclaim and protect the will of God for ANWA-VA through prayer daily.
 
Intercessory Prayer Team Lead – The Intercessory Prayer Team Lead oversees the Intercessory Prayer team assuring that the prayer culture of our church is supporting our vision and mission, covering the lives of our leaders and their children, covering our partners and ushering the will of God in for our community, our region and the world.
 
Intercessory Prayer Team Lead Responsibilities
 
·      Prays daily for the vision and mission of our church, our leaders and their children, our partners, our intercessors, the fulfillment of every prophetic word over our church and the will of God for our community, our region and the world.
 
  • Builds and sustains a culture of prayer in our church that supports our vision and mission, covers the lives of our leaders and their family, covers our partners, prays for the fulfillment of every prophetic word over our church and ushers in the will of God for our community, our region and the world.
 
·      Creates monthly and weekly prayer directives for the intercessory prayer team to pray through, as guided by the Spirit of God. Prayer directives should be in alignment with the vision and mission of our church and current ministry goals as expressed through our Senior Pastor.
 
·      Coordinates the planning and implementation of a comprehensive prayer team for the church.
 
·      Identifies, equips, and supports intercessors who are praying for all aspects of congregational life as well as for the overall goals of the church.
 
·      Familiarizes themselves with curriculum resources for teaching prayer, facilitating there uses, and being able to recommend appropriate resources for all age levels and faith stages. Resources must be approved by the Senior pastor before being used for training and development.
 
·      Meets at least once a month with the intercessors for training and development in prayer and intercession. This can be done in person or virtually.
 
·      Meets at least once a month for team prayer. This can be done in person or virtually. Team prayer is centered around praying for the vision and mission of the church, our leaders, the fulfillment of prophetic words over our church, our community, our region, our world and other prayer directives given from the team lead by the Spirit of God.
 
·      Schedules intercessors to pray for our Midweek Noonday prayer every Wednesday. Prayers are pre-recorded and broadcasted online. Intercessors are to pre-record a 15-30-minute prayer based on the prayer directives given by the team lead and send it to media@allnationsva.com no later than 5pm on the Monday of the week they are scheduled to pray. Intercessors are able to record from their cell phones or a high-quality recording device. Schedules are to be sent out no later than the 15th of the month before. 
 
·      Schedules intercessors to pray for our Midweek Bible Study services. (Only when done in person). Schedules are to be sent out no later than the 15th of the month before. 
 
·      Schedules intercessors to pray for our Sunday Worship experience. Schedules are to be sent out no later than the 15th of the month before.
 
·      Schedules intercessors to pray for special services, conferences and ministry events when needed.
 
·      Schedules team fast throughout the year for the spiritual growth of the intercessors.
 
·      Links with organizations, people, and resources in and beyond the congregation that are concerned with Christian prayer.
 
  • Schedules team outings once per quarter to build relationships and a sense of community amongst the team.
 
  • Identifies potential leaders amongst the team who would benefit from going through ANWA-VA Leadership Training.
 
  • Checks in monthly with the intercessors to be aware of their spiritual, mental, emotional and physical state in an effort to maintain a holistically healthy team. 
 
  • Completes the monthly & quarterly ANWA-VA Ministry Team Evaluation Form.
 
Intercessory Prayer Team Responsibilities
 
·      Prays daily for the vision and mission of our church, our leaders and their children, our partners, our intercessors, the fulfillment of every prophetic word over our church and the will of God for our community, our region and the world.
 
  • Builds and sustains a culture of prayer in our church that supports our vision and mission, covers the lives of our leaders and their family, covers our partners, prays for the fulfillment of every prophetic word over our church and ushers in the will of God for our community, our region and the world.
 
  • Leads our congregation in Midweek Noonday Prayer online through Pre-recorded prayers. Intercessors are to pre-record a 15-30-minute prayer based on the prayer directives given by the team lead and send it to media@allnationsva.com no later than 5pm on the Monday of the week they are scheduled to pray.
 
  • Leads our congregation in prayer during our Midweek Bible Study Services. (Only when in person).
 
·      Leads our congregation in prayer for our Sunday worship experience.
 
·      Leads our congregation in prayer for special services, conferences and events when needed. 
 
·      Gathers fifteen minutes before our Sunday worship experience to pray over the service, our leaders, our partners, our intercessors and potential guest in order that the Spirit of God may freely move within the gathering. 
 
·      Gathers fifteen minutes before special services, conferences and events, when needed, to pray over the moment, our leaders, our partners, our intercessors and potential guest in order that the Spirit of God may freely move within the gathering.
 
·      Fast through the year for the spiritual growth of the team.
 
Intercessory Prayer Team Lead Requirements
 
  • Must be a follower of Jesus Christ, having made a public confession of faith.
 
  • Must be a partner of All Nations Worship Assembly-VA having completed Discovery and Foundations Class.
 
  • Must have served as a volunteer on a ministry team of ANWA-VA for at least a year.
 
  • Must go through ANWA-VA Leadership Development Training.
 
  • Must agree to the Intercessory to the Intercessory Prayer Team Policies and Procedures
 
  • Must have an active and growing prayer life and a desire to teach and encourage others to pray.
 
  • Must have a firm understanding of prayer and intercession as it relates to building and sustaining a supportive prayer culture for the vision and mission of ANWA-VA, our leaders and their children, our partners, our community and our region.
 
·      Must have the ability to listen to and communicate with people of all ages; the ability to work with other ministry leaders; the ability to model and teach a variety of ways of praying; the ability to organize teams, delegate responsibility, and follow up to complete tasks.
 
  • Must attend weekly worship services and support other ministry events.
 
  • Must attend monthly team lead meetings and host monthly meetings for the team in which you lead. 
 
  • Must be on time for all worship services, team meetings and ministry events.
 
  • Must be a tither and cheerful giver.
 
  • Must be a team player.
 
Intercessory Prayer Team Volunteer Requirements
 
  • Must be a follower of Jesus Christ, having made a public confession of faith.
 
  • Must be a partner of All Nations Worship Assembly-VA having completed Discovery and Foundations Class.
 
  • Must have an active and growing prayer life and a desire to teach and encourage others to pray.
 
  • Must complete an intercessory prayer team interest form.
 
  • Must agree to the Intercessory to the Intercessory Prayer Team Policies and Procedures
 
  • Must attend monthly team meetings, team trainings and support other ministry events.
 
  • Must be on time for all worship services, team meetings and ministry events.
 
  • Must be a team player.
